Teeth broken on the gear, do I need to replace entire crank or can it just be replaced. never mind monkeys, looks like zebras worked on this motor.

Dont want to strip down everything for no reason.

Thanks

ive not examined mine that closely, but i thought that most cranks were machined from a solid lump of metal, if thats the case then you wont be able to remove the timing gear.

i would be worried about where that lost tooth is, and i would guess that a new engine might not be a bad investment considering the possible cost of stripping and rebuilding your current lump?

I think the sproket might be machine pressed on? No idea about replacing the sprocket. Im sure ive seen whole cranks on ebay so might be worth a look.
