Cam chain tensioner

I'm gonna be changing the cam chain on my zxr400 L1 but do I need to buy a new tensioner or can they be reused?

you need a new tensioner only if its broken, if it is broken i have a brand new one here, £10 and you can come down the road and collect it...i got it in with a box of parts, its brand new and they are not cheap from cradleys...
