Struggling to get neutral

No I don't think that is what he is saying, even at a standstill I gather he can't get it into neutral, I would check the stuff cargo said as he knows alot more than me, but I had a problem with an rs125 gearbox where the symptoms were very similar, turned out to be that the gear shaft and moved outwards slightly, little tap with a hammer while holding it in the right place sorted it, though this may not be exactly the same with yours it's worth checking these simple things, is the gear change 'dog'? Not excessively worn at the indent for neutral EDIT- cam-change drum, not dog- part number 131451075, this is the part that has failed on my cr250 engine, the small indent for neutral has had the edges rounded off so the gears jump across it
