hi i have a 1993 L3 model zxr400 that i am rebuilding from the bottom up but the engine is in need of a new set of barrels due to the old ones being cracked.
i have found a set of barrels on ebay that look identical to the ones i have but they are advertised for a 1989 H model.
does anyone know whether they would fit my L model engine?
many thanks.

my god, that was almost a usefull answer :wankercargo wrote:Try checking the part numbers
@maggott84 - what my inbred friend means, is that the barrels ARE the same, same part numbers so interchangeable.
im sure it was due to the tertiary syphilis, but he also forgot to mention that if you are changing barrels it would be a good idea to get them honed and fit new piston rings to your existing pistons...the bore sizes are in the manual, an automotive engineering firm will charge you ~£10 per cylinder for a hone, or you can buy the honing stones and do it yourself...but they will have much more accurate internal bore measuring devices, and can check it for high spots etc...
