Top end noise, have posted video on a 20,000 strong facebook bike group and 8/10 saying cam chain tensioner, will get it checked this week when going for carb sync... if it does need new tensioner would a 750 model tensioner fit on 400??

Thanks

It's easy enough to remove the tensioner and check the ratchet mechanism, the one from the 750 won't fit. I have a new unused tensioner here, you can have it for half the Kawasaki price plus postage, I'll dig it out of the garage today and take a picture of it

For the record the cct on these bikes is very good, never had one go. More likely explanations are a broken tensioner blade, old chain, worn rocker facing, incorrect valve clearances.
