Hi . I have a rare Kawasaki zr400 xanthus 1992. This was a jap import only. There is very little info available for this bike. But I do know it has a zxr400 derived engine. Anyone here know about these bikes and whether the zxr400 engine will slot straight in . Thanks

No idea, the engines are fairly similar, though not identical looking by any means.

The rough mounting points look to be in a similar position. You could make some measurements and the post them up here (being very clear what you are referring to, so diagrams...) and some of us can see if it looks like it will fit.

Clearance above and below the engine would be another thing to consider, though given that you can get a 900cc motor I to a zxr400 frame, I'm sure you can get a zxr400 engine in a xanthus

Hi . I've measured between the 2 rear mounting points and its 180mm from centre to centre . Is this the same with the zxr400L ? Thanks
