Can anyone help me id this spare part i have? Recently replaced head gasket, this came from somewhere on cam chain side. Got a part number of 32160-1134. Any ideas where this goes? i looked at exploded to no avail. Also seem to have a quiet a bit of oil coming down to cam tensioner, is this normal?

I cant figure it for the life of me, not shown in the manuals. All i can say is that when i removed the cam chain cover and the timing wheel, it popped out from that gap, ie fallen down i can only guess. Bike is back together and running well - bit sluglish, i assume due to carb balance, but all seems well

it goes in recess behind the timing rotor cover,at about 11 o`clock on a clockface it just pushes in at the back of the chain guide and sticks out a little bit you will notice a recess on the timing cover that the end sits in,probably best to fit it back in before you do any possible damage to the engine

just looked in the manual it says it is a damper rubber for the rear camchain guide, well thats what it looks like no mention of number in manual though, have a look in top left corner inside the cover and see if it is there

What would you class as a normal amount of oil at this side of the engine

i don`t know how much is supposed to go down there but with the oilgoing through the cam caps etc and splashing around with the cams there will al ways be oil going down to lubricate the camchain and other parts on its way down the engine again as this is one of the ways it will do this, hope this helps

i wouldnt worry too much about the damper ... i did 30,000 miles without one once as i couldnt work out where it went either .. didnt do any harm to the engine, and popped it back in a few months later when i'd figured out where it belonged.
