My carbs have been way out and allways ran fine i might be wrong with yours
To balance the carbs its a quite a job
Take petrol tank off
take air box off
there will be four tubes under the carbs pull off (remeber which order its not hard ) then you will need to plug a vacum gauge on to where you pulled the tubes from
Then run the bike and just ajust each carb to the right setting which you do with a long philips screwdriver one of the carbs are set allready so you just set to that carb ( i think its the right hand carb but look it up)
I would take it to a garage if you were really sure thats the problem
but try your old plugs first

When I got mine, the dealer advised to use full choke every time on first start up. Doing that was taking ages to get it going and I was even needing some choke on a long run after stopping for a pee. Anyway another dealer had a look at it and in fairness spent ages on it. New plugs and carbs balanced. Now it starts first squeeze every time and no choke. I'd take it to someone you trust and let them sort it for ya. You could check if a previous owner has used any kind of additive as they gunge everything up ultimately
Hope you get it sorted
