Hey, does anyone know what the connector clip is underneath the clutch lever is for and is it vital that I need it??

do you mean the little electrical connector with three pins that goes into the lefthand switch gear? If its not connected bike won't even turn over, though i'm sure it could be bypassed somehow if it really needed to be. Its an ignition lockout

Its a cut out switch thats linked up with the side stand. The bike will turn over and start, its if you try to pull away with the side stand down it'll cut the engine.

no, it has to be plugged in for the bike to start, to by pass it you need to do it by removing the switch by the sprocket and bridging it.... i think but don't hold me to that

I think ill hold you to it, just been out and tried it and yes it needs to be plugged in to start the motor :)

So yes i guess it is vital but i guess theres no reason why you cant bridge it if necessary.

Sweet I thought so... cool well I will just have to get another one then cant be bothered to try bridge it through the loom as the alarm is already a pain and been wired into everything :smt013
