If my clutch didn't rattle I'd be straight on to Cradley's to order one that did :smt003

Well, after Neosophist hearing my bike Thursday past - my clutch is quite :smt001 Yes, it is a KBATL too with new frictions and steels.

MM!

PS. Your clutch is buggered when it wont help you engage gears or slips a bit of noise is OK

There is probably nothing wrong with your clutch - mines is uncanily quite :smt004

Some new frictions might reduce the noise depending on how worn your existing ones are - these are the clutch plates that kinda look like they have brake pad material - when you pull the clutch in your taking up slack, new ones might minimize that again and make it a little quiter.

If it aint broke , dont fix it winks

I find the clutch makes less noise when the carbs are well balanced. Might be a point worth noting?

Dumb question, but do I need to split the cases to remove the outer basket?
