KBATL what does it mean? Is it good?

Post by Kloon »

Hi all, First up thanks for all the great advice and friendly people here. As some may know I have an H2. Moriman mentioned Id got a steal for £500 even though she needs some work. He also mention the KBATL clutch??

What the hell is it? is it good? what does this magical device do? is it even magic? Apologies for my inexperience but I have just come from Harley ownership and they dont seem so complicated as these fangled jap bikes.

Replies always appreciated fellas

Back Torque Limiter or Slipper clutch

Makes for rapid downshifts with out the rear end hoping about :smt003

Some companies also claim you get better power transfer through them so increasing rear wheel BHP but until I done a back to back test I wouldn't count it.

End of the day, it is a good thing to have :smt004

I have just bought an engine to use some bits off and noticed it appears to have the KBATL clutch, is it a case of simple swapping the inner clutch hubs over to swap it into my original motor? also will an EBC SRK kit make much difference?
