Hi, I've been having problems with my clutch slipping for a few months now and I am looking to get it sorted ASAP.
Since I bought the bike, the clutch lever has been extremely stiff, and the clutch has been slipping on occasion at high RPM. At first I thought the cable may of been getting caught but I now know this is not the case. The bike is currently running on cheap (Semi) oil which is soon to be changed, but I would like to sort the clutch out at the same time.
Just wondering if it would just be the plates and springs that need replacing? The mechanic thinks the clutch basket may be worn as well but I was under the assumption it wasn't that bad. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Clutch slipping
Clutch usually rattles if basket is worn, check the clutch steels as they may need replacing too

Re: Clutch slipping
As Alan said, it's cheap enough to just replace all the plates steels and springs.
Use kawasaki oem plates and steels, feel free to use Ebc heavy duty springs if you want...and I would treat yourself to a new clutch cable while your at it.

Re: Clutch slipping
As mentioned previously I am going to need a new basket as well (Clutch is rattling) there's an inner and outer clutch basket on ebay at the moment for the L7, will this fit my L1?
