Changing clutch? how to

Hello all

Does anyone have a how to change a clutch write up?

ive seen this for the torque settings

so happy with that just need a quick guide what to do and what order

Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

hello mate

sorry bit confused have i missed something on that link but all i find is the parts line up and torque settings not a how to do guide

have you looked at the H manual as well?? you need to use both manuals if you have a L model.

im so sorry mate i was just looking at the L ones

ok reading on it

remove cover

undo four bolts with springs etc

then im guessing u slide the friction plates and clutch plates out?

but according to the manual u it says to remove the clutch nut which looks like to me what holds the clutch basket in place

why do i have to remove that? if im just swoping the plates?

as you say remove cover, and springs then remove plates, note which way the steel plates go, apparently there is a difference, 20 minute job mate. forget the centre nut,not needed.
