mornin all, new to the forum here.

right here is me problem. brought a zxr4 h2 lastnight as a non runner due to a funny rattle/knocking noise coming from the front of the engine.

but also when the engine is running it is realy stiff to change gear and also when i dip the clutch with the engine running i should be able to roll backwards rite??

well the lad of whom i brought the bike off shatterd the clutch plates last year and finally got round to rebuilding the clutch this year but since he has done that all of these problems have occurd??

so if anyone could give me an insight to these problems that would be much appreciated.

zxr is very well known for its noisy clutchs, but to me it just sounds like hes made a f*** up of doing the clutch, sounds like time for a strip down and rebuild

ah i see, i shall get the socket set out then and get on the manuals page too!!!!

any suggestion n the nattle from the front of the engine?

If it won't roll backwards with the clutch in and engine running it means the clutch cable needs adjusting. Nice and simple.

The knocking noise is another matter...

Could it be bits of the clutch knocking around inside the engine?

well me and my mate have jus had the most scientific tool ever to examin the engnie ( a piece of wood and ear ) and have kinda pin pointed the noise down to the cams we think? but would that make it sound like it coming from the whole engine? its done 35000 kilometers so am i goin to be expecting anymore problems?
