You got a 180 on the standard rim???

I'd guess it should just make the rear turn in slower....

Gotta love tyre expreiments, eh??? :D

Let us know how you get on with it!

Hope you don't take offence - but can you get your knee down, and has the wider tyre affected this at all?

Riding without knee-down antics may not show up any flaws so much...

Love Dunlops but now run super corsa pro top tyre

The Dunlop on the rear we ran at brands hatch last year utter rubbish might be good on the road but be carefull it does not turn in as quick and doesnt hold a line it tends to drift out of corners and you can get to the edge of the tyre does have good grip yes you can get youre knee down but no good on a race track on a fast lap

Just be carefull that when you are cornering that your not drifting on the road even most of the top riders last year tried them but they even changed very quickly

Pirelli supercorsa pro top tyre try these if you get a chance

I have just been told by the misses it was a 170 dunlop 208gp sold it now thank god

Does that mean the 180 is wider on the rim if so certainly wont hold a good line on track

Thats what i was thinking.

A wider profile generally means a slower turn-in, so if you've got the front turning in normally and the rear wanting to go straight.... don't think i'd fancy understeer on a bike. :| Or is that wrong??? :? I'd imagine it'd understeer because the rear would drive the front wide, but reading it back it sounds like it might oversteer.... :? Nah - sure i'm right the first time....

Lets face it though - wider tyres on bikes LOOK damn cool!!! 8)

Would it make any real difference to your average road rider???

well the 180 worked NOT.......
very unstable in a straight line.......because the rim is narrow the tyre has less rubber on the road me thinks so im changing the tyre back to a 160-60-17
i dont recommend it

ps for sale 1 new 180-50-17 dunlop 208rr

haha

Took me 5 months to sell my 170 have a look to see if any of the 600 use that size tyre and tyr to sell to them or EBAY it good luck

Try a Pirelli Supercorsa pro soft front medium rear wont find better grip and i'm a Dunlop man
