hi im lookijng to get Pirrelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro Race tyres for me bike, but my current tyre sizes are -

120/60ZR/17TL
160/60ZR/17TL

However I cant seem to find anybody that does the front tyre at that size...they all appear to be 120/70ZR/17TL... would this fit. if i remeber correctly the first par 120 is like the rim size like 17inches etc. is the 60ZR the diammetter of the tyre, ?? thanks

120mm = width of the rim

60mm = the height of the tyre from the rim

17inch = is the rim diameter

:)

Why they put all of that in metric and then the diameter in inches i dont know :?

a quick search on google turned this up...

http://www.universal-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle.htm

but they don't do the 160 rear? .....TBH I don't really think a 400 would benefit from such a tyre- when you've only got 60 brake to lay down a tyre like that isn't really necessary

I've heard a lot of the racers say they switch to the 120/70-17 front tyre cause it gives a faster turn-in.

Whether you'd feel much difference on the road is another matter...

As far as i know it will fit fine without scraping the front mudguard or anything daft! :D

so very very wrong im afraid. check on MCN!

120 is width in mm, 60 is in fact 60% of 120mm thats is the profile and 17 is inch wheel. sori the middle number is a percentage . check in this wenesday mcn for proof or at mcn.co.uk
