will a tyre off a R1 fit a zxr 400. my mate has one he's now taking off, but he thinks its a 190/60/17.

or whatever r1 size rear wheels are?

you can get a 180 tyre on a zx6r rim, but not a chance getting an r1's 190 on a standard rim. It would handle like a peice of sh*t aswell!, alot of people with r1's go down to a 180 to make em turn a bit faster

ok just a thought, mate has a spare one he was gonna let me have coz i got no cash for a rear at the minute, guess ill just have to get the puncture bunged for now.

you cuold possibly make it fit - but I cant understand why you would want to unless all you want to do is ride in straight lines!
if your strapped for cash - see if you can get a set of part worns off a racer
