Me and a mate are off on a bit of a European tour in May and the back tyre on my ZXR400 is going to need a change.
I'm gonna be doing a few miles on the motorway but I still want to be able enjoy the twisties when we get to the alps.
At the moment I've got BT090s on the front and rear. Looking through the posts on the forum I've come up with the following list of options:
Bridgestone BT092
Metzler M3
Pirelli Supercorsa
Which one should I go for?
European Jaunt

Re: European Jaunt
If you go with the supercorsa it will probably be squared off by the time you get back as they're pretty soft.
Personally I would go with the b'stone 092, good grip at the edges and a good hard centre, it will also match your front alot better than the metzler, which will help with the handling.

Re: European Jaunt
You really do NOT want supercorsa's if your going to be doing alot of mway miles or dual carriage ways etc.

2nd that, they are very very good tyres, great for country lanes that ive used them on, in the wet and just simply blatting down the mtotrway on.deviant wrote:I did 6000 odd miles on a set of Avon Vipers, including a 2600 miles Euro tour and two trackdays.
