I've not tried the Alpha 10's but if they're a development from the 208GP they could be good(?).
The 207's used to blue with heat on my RS, so they were toad. But the 208's were pretty good. They heated up so fast! So fast, I could slam it round the roundabout at the end of my road no problems, never even a slip. Used to pick up all sorts of toad though. Looked like chewing gum rolled in grit.

No harm in trying them. I doubt there's much difference between road tyres - not within the usable road limits. Some people say soft tyres are a waste anyway, but I like the confidence.
