H1 SP Sprockets

Post by jez400 »

Currently rebuilding an H1 SP and not sure what are the correct sprockets. It's currently running 16/44. I know that a standard H1 would run 15/45. Would I be correct in assuming that a 16/44 combination has been fitted because the SP gearbox may have a taller first gear? Any help would be appreciated. The last thing I want to do is raise the gearing so that it's impossibly high geared in first.

np , is the engine stamped with a " J " on the block ?

Sounds like it is genuine with the sprockets though.
