Front Sprocket

the front sprocket on my bike is knackered, does any one know where i can get one from? and is the sprocket on the H1 engine the same as the L engines?

I beleieve they are the same. But you should change the chain and sprockets as a set and not one piece at a time. Best bet is probably Cradley's or maybe somewhere online.

where can ya get the retainer thing, that slips over the front sprocket? do they supply them with the new front sprockets?

took my engine out last week, and the sprocket just fell on the floor! the retainers teeth have worn thru..

don't belive they do mate, i'll have a look in my toolbox tommorrow, think i have one.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

i only replaced my front sprocket the other week, came to a tenner, it's not quack but hey ho.
the bloke before had changed the chain and rear sprocket but not the front... what a plank. the retainer is seporate, i got another one stamped out of high tensile steel for the future if i ever needed one.

only the local bike shop,
called "the motorcycle centre" theyre based in blindley heath but also have a shop in felbridge.

i do have one which i believe is off the zxr400 if you want it pm me your address.
