sprocket set up

Post by R P Corse »

ok well when i bought my ZXR 400, she came witha load of spares - sprockets, screen, mirrors, couple of levers, fairing and a tank...

well just wondering what a good sprocket set up is, the spare sprockets i got are 15t/45t, not too sure whats on there atm, but want opinions and if possible a gearing chart.

cheers, B

15/45 is the standard gearing
or 16/45 for a SP

Send me your e-mail I've got a super little gearing chart thingy

Standard IS 15/45

IF (and believe me it isn't) standard gearing WAS 15/47 and you had 15/45 fitted then accerlation would be reduced because 15/45 is taller gearing.

Page 1-6 of the general information in the H model manual informs us the 15/45 is the standard gearing.

And page 1-4 of the L model manual/supplement informs us that the gearing is also 1545 stamndard for he L model

As I said send me your e-mail and I'll send you a gear chart that will show exactly what changes a different sized sprockets can make to top speed etc etc etc
