Post by tng21 »

where's the best place to go and get a chain and sprocket set online. KWAK said its £75 but have been told to look online as you can get aftermarket ones a lot cheaper?

please help as i ordered the set from sea stars but now i dont know weather to cancel it and look for cheap ones

give B&C a call - they'll be able to help you out

you will be absolutely fine with an O-ring chain, but if you want to spend a bit more money (it sounds like you dont) get an x ring

£75 is damn cheap for C&S IMO, the set up from B&C costs £130 for my gixxer. What sort of chain are you getting for that money?

with c&s you do tend to get what you pay for to a certain extent. Cheap chains will wear quicker and therefore wont last as long.....
false economy ?

tbh i dont know what the chain is from the dealers, there were 4 set ups £75 being the cheapest and £100 being the dearest. i know the sprockets are adonized a bronzy colour but unsure on the chain.

You think i should go for the dealer setup

renthal sprockets are hard to beat, they are light weight too.

why skimp on something so important?
