If they are K3 GIXXER 1000 calipers, then they are RADIAL.

They mount to the fork in a different place, in a different way - And will not fit your ZXR unless you slot a set of forks in there with RADIAL mounts on....

You could get adapter plates made up if you really want to fit the radial calipers

Just to drag this old thread out again. I just got me a set of K1-K3 GSXR750 Calipers (nice). I have drilled the holes and re-tapped them to take the 10mm bolts. I'm a bit concerned about the small amount of metal around the holes. Has anybody done this mod before and is it safe? Also I noticed on the standard calipers that one of the "arms" where the calipers bolts screw into is slightly recessed by about 4mm. Could I prop up the GSXR calipers on one side with a couple of washers and again would it be safe to do so? I really do like the look of the new calipers and I'm sure they would be an improvement over the stock ones, but seeing as this is a race bike I also don't want to f**k with something that my end up causing a lot of pain.

Not sure about drilling and tapping them out - Thats why I went the route of spacers and washers with M8 bolts...

I've also drilled out the calipers and retapped them. You got the right thread pitch yeah?

Having read lots about the caliper swap on here its seems many folks have done the same thing.

I had the 6 pots on mine they were drilled and taped And they were fine like that (Race bike) but for this year I have went with 4 pot 600 calipers and have got a set of top hat spacers made.I got pissed off with the washers last year.Pain in the ass when in a rush to change wheels.

I thought you meant I had to glue the calipers on. Its OK after a short period of deliberation and a very long period of trying to bleed the standard calipers, which cost me a complete caliper rebuild and lowering of linguistic standards, I just gave up and put the GSXR calipers on with some washers (no glue). They only took about 20 minutes to bleed and feel great. I'll be able to try them out for the first time this Sunday.
