Does anybody know if there are any compatible rear calipers for the zxr 400L model that would bolt straight on?? or with slight modifications? many thanks, john.

Re: compatible rear calipers??
i have seen a few things to do with K1/K2 GSXR1000 rear calipers...as far as i can see (and do not take this as fact) the mounting bolts are the same, i cant quite see if the torque arm will fit, i have seen some pics where it is chopped and replaced with a short torque arm substitute...but this might just be for lightness, the mounting might be fine...???
anyone else know more about this?
if you wanna pick up a gsxr 1000 rear and offer it up feel free to let us know how it goes

Re: compatible rear calipers??
I fitted a GSXR1000 rear ages ago (a K1 if memory serves). From what I remember i had a grind a bit off the caliper mount and that was all

Re: compatible rear calipers??
so the caliper bracket is too thick, and you ground it down to reduce that? is that correct?
does the standard zxr 400 torque arm still fit then, or do you need to also get the gsxr torque arm?
lastly, do you think that the gsxr 1000 caliper bracket would fit onto the zxr, if its a case of spacers thats no problem, but i suppose no-one has any idea of the diameter of the gsxr rear axle?

Re: compatible rear calipers??
mounting points at 75mm centre-center are the same as the zxr, ebay seller said that closest mounting point to torque arm is 59mm centre to centre ( i measured innacuratly the zxr at 60mm) so thats all the same, ive gone ahead and bought one as it seemed in good condition, no sticking/binding issues, pads easily changed etc...hopefully it will be here in a few days and i will write up a "fitting review".
