1- remove old caliper
2- either grind new caliper (the zxr 400 caliper bracket or caliper needs to lose ~2mm where they touch, if you hold the caliper to the bracket you can see where)...
...or the bracket
3 - fit, might want to put a spacer in-between caliper and torsion bar.
Thats it, 10 mins is all it takes. I got this for £35 off ebay, 8000 miles old, good condition, no seizing and all bleed screws work...am well impressed, now it just needs bleeding so going to need an 8mm spanner.

Nice work, i think this is the only example ive seen where you can use the standard mount. Every other one ive seen involved making up a new one.

Re: Guide to fitting GSXR 1000 K1 rear brake caliper
cheers rob, i was expecting it to be harder, mine looks a little "rough" but i will smooth the metal down and repaint it at some point so i dont care...and you cant see the scratch marks unless you get down and really inspect it, it looks nice and stops well
ive done a detailed schematic below of what to remove (red) to get from the original (top) image to the final (bottom) image (your cut needs to be off centre as shown), not had time to 3D-render the image yet, this has taken me 4 hours to do this imagi in AutoCAD...

they bled like a dream, 10 minutes by myself and they were done, rock solid feel.
the pads are similarly priced to zxr ones, i think the only problem might be if you want to rebuild them, wemoto doesnt do pattern parts for the calipers, so it might have to be OE items...but how often do you need to rebuild them, once every couple of years?

4 hours to knock that up in CAD? that would only take 4 minutes surely?
