I've heard before that brake seals have to go in a certain way when you replace them so theres a raised lip on the side inside the caliper. when i put the seals in my calipers it feels like theres a raised lip on the inside caliper side whichever way i put it in. is this right?

I am pretty sure that on the ZXR callipers, it does not matter which way the seals go round, as they are symmetrical if you remove them and look at them from the side!

They don't have an upper or lower side, just a separate and different oil and dirt seal.

Use plenty of red rubber grease on the seals and a bit on the side of the piston too, will ease assembly and make sure it moves smoothly in the bore.
