ermm. caliper help.

so these two rods in the pic (pt43045) that are holidng the pads in. how the feck do i get em out? i have a nasty feelig they amy have siezed in and im gonna have to split the calipers.

Should be a little R clip holding them in i think in the picture you can just see the shiny R clip this side of the nearest pad

Pull out the R clip the with draw the pin and should then release the pads

Yeah should be an R clip, if they arent seized in fill the holes that they sit in with copper grease. If they are seized good bloody luck, cos one of them were seized in my rear caliper and was a right giraffe to get out. I just ground the pin in the middle so it was in two halves and eventually with a pair of pliers and alot of twisting they came out.

If still dont come out try soaking in WD40 and leave for a few hours and retry or try heating them gently with a blow torch and then trying again. Last resort is drilling them out :smt011

yeah i had tried without the r clips but theres no movemnt at alll giraffe things.
