Rear Brake Res

maybe not in the right place ( pls move baz if it aint ) but will someone please help me out. after a complete strip down of my bike, and i mean total strip down, ive done the lot. big ends, rings, swingarm bushes etc etc etc. but can i find out where to put the rear brake res and bracket. CAN I f***. its doin me head in. will someone pls take a pic of their rear brake res and bracket for my peace of mind. pretty pls.

Hi,

Believe it or not, it's on the right hand side of the bike next to the ECU under the main seat.

yea i know whereabouts it goes, but ive not replaced the hose etc and the only mounting holes close to it, when i attach the res, it fouls the seat itself.

it should sho you in the manual mate if you aint sorted by tonight i'll whip the panel off and take a photo.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

if in doubt, cut the hose about 5 inches above the mc. plug with suitable bolt and clamp.
just make sure you leave about 3 inches clear in the tube.
sorted! now think of that weight saving :smt002

thats how mine was on the gixer originally when i bought it.

its all you need init
a clear tube, hrc style, is ideal like yours there baz.
i had to much fluid in mine when i first did it. locked the back wheel up!

10g.. it all adds up! smiler
also, you dont get the fluid slosh around the resevoir ruining the knife edge handling confuddled

would u mind doin me a pic Baz. its doin me nut in. i was given a very good cond cb650 so i wanna work on that when the 400 is done. i love old school bikes :)
