front end clonking

my bike developed a clonking and after a close inspection i found out that are the pads moving in the caliper(both sides). Is there any solution to cure this ? would it have a negative effect in the future if not sorted? i have played with the pads backing sprigs already but no joy,, the pads are ebc HH type ,,, thank you all

They're designed to be loose in the calipers to some extent. I think it's unlikely to be a problem.
It shows that your pistons are moving back freely away from the disk like they're supposed to.

Warped discs, causing the pads to move is my bet.

When's it actually making the clonking noise?
Is it just one clonk or a series?
Can you feel any vibration or bangs through the bars?
Does your brake lever pulse slightly if you apply the brakes?
That ought to get some better answers!

-head bearings are OK ,no play no movement and steers freely
- a clonk every wheel revolution or less
- disks are 2 months old (ebc pro light ) pads the same 2 months old ebc HH 3mm left ; new disks and pads went in at once
-no pulsing when breaking , the brakes work wonders as i rebuilt the calipers with the old seals no long ago(new ones on the way )
All i can think of is that maybe the pads are a tad smaller being a pattern part not original OM std , the old pads never used to clonk that's why i will try to switch to std back as they are due to be changed any way

have you checked everythings tight? bolts on discs, calipers, suspenson even fairings etc?

parts arrived and rebuilt the calipers ,new pads and no more clonking for now ;some of the pistons we're partially stuck causing the pads to were at a angle

Am I right in thinking you have now fitted OE Kawasaki pads ?

not sure if they're OE but they're KYOTO jap stuff ,and they sit nice and tight in the caliper + they perform as good as the ebc HH
The best change is, with the new seals I've rebuilt the calipers? means i don't have to un-cease the front wheel every morning
