First off youll need to get the rear of the bike up in the air. best way is probably going to be hanging it from the rear subframe to the garage roof and putting the front end onto a paddock stand, that way it wont fall over. Others may do it a different way.

Youll need to take out the rear wheel and brake caliper and the mudguard if you have one, then youll need to unbolt the suspension linkage at the bottom of the shock. Its probably best to loosen these off before you start anything. They will be mega hard to undo especially if they havent been undone since the bike was made, so while the bike is safe and steady on the floor i think that will be safer that way. Then get the bike in the air.

Once the suspension linkage is out youll need to undo the shock, simply done by undoing the bolt at the top. Once thats out then the swing arm pivot, with any luck should slide out of place and the swingarm iirc will come straight out after that.
