I've recently upgraded the rear suspension with a new nitron shock and was wondering what I could get done to the forks to match the improved rear?

maxton conversion ? , k-tech internals .. loads of folk will take your money and fit different innards ..

personally ? fresh fluid and seals .. the stock forks are very very good as long as they aren't gunked up inside. I raced with stock forks and they were fine. (nitron 3-way out back)

that said .. i'm a lightweight.. stiffer springs might improve things if you're heavy.. or they might just make it harsh on bumpy roads.

take it to MCT suspension, better than any off the shelf upgrade.

I'll give them a try. So far I've not heard back from maxton. The best offer so far has been from brook suspension that say they will service, re spring, re valve and bung a k-tec piston kit in for £500.

Just had my forks back from brook suspension where they serviced and fitted the k-tech piston kit along with springs. I have not really had the chance to give them a proper test because my son was born the day after the forks arrived.
So far the forks are noticeably less prone to diving under braking. I only had the chance to ride the bike for 5 mins after fitting the forks so I will need to spend an afternoon setting them up, hopefully at the weekend.
Overall I was impressed by their level of service and quick turn around time, which ended up being less than quoted and I would definitely use them again in the future. :excited just need to find a minute to get out and have a play in between changing nappies, bottle feeding and winding.
