Front forks info

Post by Rubencio »

Good evening,

Quick question, I am changing the oil of the front forks and I would need to know what kind of oil should I put in, and how much.

Considering I am quite heavy (17 st), should I consider a oil more dense than the standard?

Thanks a lot in advance

hi,i wouldnt have thought you would need a heavier weight oil,,id stick to 10w oil and look in the manual scematics and see what the leg capacity is,,,but im sure someone will be along to say what that is winks ..hth

on bog-standard/basic forks on other bikes, ive played with the oil weight and air gaps, but the zxr400 has lots of adjustments, read the manual and play with the settings until you find something right for you, then think about oil weight.
