Stock fork height.

Post by namtabmai »

Like an idiot I removed the front forks to replace the seals and didn't make a note of the fork height. Kind of assumed this would be listed in the service manual but for the life of me I can't find it.

Anyone know what this should be on the L model?

I've always taken it as they should be flush with the headstock, you can probably get away with dropping them an once or so if you want more weight over the front, but your changing the geometry and head angle all the time then...

Yeah, was trying to avoid that if possible but couldn't make out from my photos how much fork was showing originally. I guess if they were supposed to be something other than flush they'd have written down a measurement in the service manual :smt002
