zxr rear shocks hard

hello everyone! just got my rear shock rebuild, and after ive placed it back ive noticed that its a bit hard to ride. is this normal? coz it seems it doesnt like bumpy road

ZXR's do have very hard suspension. Which is awful in Bristol where you could lose your granny down some of the pot holes.

the day i bought it, it wasnt as hard but a bit jumpy, the mechanic just told me that the rear shock needs rebuild the reason why it doesnt dampen anymore and the springs are the ones holding it.

So, right after ive had the shocks rebuild, its a bit hard, even if i had a pillion rider it doesnt even compress...

do i have to discharge a little bit of the gas inside? or is this really normal on a zxr having a very hard feel on the rear shock. I just base my judgement from other bike.. maybe ill just wait for awhile till i get a zx6r rear shocks..
