almost there now, got the damper rod in, the spring, fluid and the long tube thing.
the next step is to screw the top cap onto the damper rod inside, but the problem is the rod doesnt stick out above the tube.
So ive got to push down the tube and spring with special tool.... blah blah. which i dont have.
any ideas? what have people used before?

I've never specifically rebuilt a ZXR set of forks but looking at the manual they appear like any other cartridge USD fork.
If the fork is full (well to the correct level - watch out for the holeat the top of the slider) and the air has been bled from cartridge.Then when you fully extend the damper rod it should slowly sink back down, slow enough to wack the spring back in and screw to cap back on.
