Which Ohlins?
Kind of a silly question but... Which Ohlins rear shock is (or is closest to) a direct replacement for the stock one? Any hyperlinks greatly appreciated, thanks.

Re: Which Ohlins?
I don't beleive that Ohlins actually supply a ZXR400 shock anymore. Contact Steve Jordan Motorcycles (Ohlins race technitian) , he can build one to spec, or may offer an alternative, I believe it's based on a 6r shock. Please say Greville sent you, Ta.

Re: Which Ohlins?
Thanks mate,
I've decided that it's alot of money to spend on my first decent bike, so I doubt I'll bother. I might try replacing it with a gixxer shock or one of the bigger Kawasaki shocks which come close to fitting. The only reason I'm considering it is I've heard that the standard ZXR400 rear shock is pretty hard regardless of adjustment, and I'm much lighter than the 'average' rider weight... So I don't want to be too rigid in the corners and chuck myself off if that makes any sense?

Re: Which Ohlins?
I have a gsxr750 ohlins in mine from around a 97 model. Was a direct fit but needed to drill out the bolt hole to 12mm I think. Also is a bit longer so I took out the adj nut from the shock to frame mount and it came out about correct. cheers

The same ohlins gsxr shocks fit. SRAD models seem to fit best
