having troubles removing my swingarm

I got to the stage of removing my rear swingarm today however hit a problem with removing it. Looking at the diagram i need to remove the swingarm shaft nut then simply remove the through bolt. Is this the case as I tried a little gentle persuasion and it wasn't up for budging...
