Swingarm pivot bolt.

Post by banner001 »

OK, I'm stripping my bike right down. I've removed the swingarm pivot bolt flanged nut, but the bolt wont come out.

I think the answer is no, but is the frame threaded where the nut is?

I'm guessing it should come out with some heat and tapping...but it's very stubborn.

Cheers!

I had a similar problem and the above link might help you resolve the problem. I have a spare bolt should you need it.

The frame isn´t threaded there so you can apply as much force as you can to on the axle. If you can´t get it out with a hammer you could try a press somewhere for example with a big clamp...
