Is my frame bent? With pictures.
Hey everyone, after a small favour. Came off the bike a few weeks ago and have only just got round to putting new fairings on, problem is the lower parts were rubbing on the front tyre. Measured the wheelbase and it seems that the front wheel has been pushed back, even though the forks seem pin straight and have been rotated in their yokes fine with no problems.
So started inspecting the frame at the headstock and noticed I have two slight indentations running diagonally down toward the front of the bike. Problem is I'm not sure if these are meant to be there or not, so I'd really really appreciate it if anyone with an L2 ZXR 400 could have a quick look at their frame and tell me if it's flat or supposed to be dented.
I have circled in red along the line of the dent, so just a quick run of your hand along the frame should be able to tell you if its flat or curves in. Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot for your reply, it does look like yours is totally flat Ideally I'd need to have the two bikes next to each other so i can properly compare them before I condemn the frame. Anyone with a ZXR 400 in north wales?

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply, I don't suppose you've got any close up pictures of the front of your frame have you?

Your frame is fooked mate, I have an L2 and only have 2 dents 1 either side in the frame up by the tank cover which are suppose to be there so you dont twat your hands on the frame when turning around. looking at yours, your dents are below the dents I'm talking about... in which case, your frame has been pushed in from the headstock and is infact fooked.Ghost wrote:Hey everyone, after a small favour.
