H model step - L model step

Post by Caakman400 »

Highsided the Kwak on cold tyres (090's) and greasy road the other day, still walking it off :excited

Snapped clutch lever, bent handlebars, miraculously scratch/dent free tank, skinned generator cover (oil all over the shop), totally pulverized gear lever and step...actually snapped clean off! Kind of happy my foot didn't snap off with it :smt005

Anyways, I've found an H model step and gear change lever http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... enlargeimg for about 25 quid online.

Will it fit my L model (1996)?

pretty sure they are interchangeable, just the H is positioned different.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

yeah, H and L model footrest hangers are interchangeable. And as Baz mentioned, the positioning is slightly different. Ive got a set of L model footrests and a gear lever on ebay at the moment.

Cheers for the quick reply Baz, Rob - I really need to get the bike back on the road. My 50cc scooter just doesn't cut it on the straights :smt015 The parts you're selling online are cheaper than I can find second-hand in Japan. Guess the bike ain't so popular over here.

By the way mate - being a fan of the stuff, tidied up your Redex logo for ya: Image
