mounting the fusebox

Post by ross46 »

Can someone please take a picture of how the fusebox is meant to be mounted on the zxr? Mines just flapping around under the seat, and its got 4 holes for what im presuming are for bolts?

yeah sorry, should have specified, i have checked the microfiche and it doesn't match my cdi as mine has the holes in the sides, also the microfiche doesn't show how it is mounted to the bike, which is what i am asking. this is my current set up

1st picture shows how my fusebox is atm, second is of my cdi mounted and third of the current fusebox (is this a zxr one or a common kwak part as the fiche doesnt match)
any help appreciated, hoping someone could take a picture of how their cdi is mounted and i can then go from there, thanks, ross

ross, the fusebox slides into a holder - similar to the CDi, 1 boltsecures that holder above the battery, its part number #32099 on the microfiche http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/images/Lseries/lwiring.gif

that whole assembly is the "wedged" under the frame under the front seat bracket and is secured with the bolt mentioned above.

yeah if you could, i believe you! but it would be nice to see how it goes on, banner has seen how bad my bike was, been buying holders, infill panels and brackets that i never knew existed for the past couple of months. so in this picture the bolt that secures is the hole that can be seen there?

Just nipped into the garage as i'm still up!

Here goes-

This is the fuse box inside the slider:

Here's just the slider that attaches over the battery sorry about the quality! That rusty screw at the bottom is the hole that you see in your picture above!

Image

And here's the fuse box half slidden into it's slidder.

Hope this helps :)
