Is there a difference between the 1999 L9 main loom and a 1991 L1 jap import

yes...the one on ebay, there is a difference, but if you can source the L9 junction box (the L5 loom onwards is different to L1-4) then you should be fine...if you check the manual the L1-4 and L5+ wiring diagrams are fairly clear, check the differences between the two and see if you can make it fit...i would help you more, but i have an epic journey starting in 9 hours and i need some sleep

Sorted a new loom now and gonna buy a new regulator before fitting it
