Been doing a lot to my bike lately but have now come across something strange bike is a zxr400 L1 import and runs fine everything works apart front the headlight doesn't come on both dipped or main beam.

I have changed all the fuses, junction box and relay, bulbs and switch gear but still the lights won't come on

Anyone come across this before or has any idea

Have you actually checked to see if voltage is getting as far as the bulbs? Or just randomly changing things ?

multimeter time...its only a few wires to check.

I fitted a new loom along with a load more new parts due to my old loom melting and being cut more times than my hair

Without wishing to appear rude but might it not be that in fitting the new loom you've made an error and as such should you not have told us this in the first place ?

anyway that which banner and I have suggested still stands.....................get searching for those pesky little volts because that is where the problem lies.


How much was a new loom ? Did you get it from Cradley

Got a second hand loom but this on has never been cut

Well think the bikes gonna have to go into a garage to be looked at as i can't find the fault and wanna get her out on the road

My lights wont come on until the engine is running, and they only go out when the ignition is turned off.
