Redline rev booster

Post by newtonhillbilly »

Hello all
I was just wondering if anyone has seen or used a redline Rev booster because I bought a set of clocks and found it on them just wondered if they make any difference or are they more hassle than they are worth

Cheers

our bikes start to lose peak torque from about 10k onwards, and peak power from 12k rpm...so unless you have a highly tuned engine that has had its peak torque and power shifted up the rev range you wont see any benefit...you might actually damage the engine, its not unknown for conrods to stretch under high acceleration (read as high rpm) causing them to hit your valves...not a good idea.
