hi
does anyone know the part number for the rubbers that the bolts screw into that hold the coils in place, they were in the frame when i had it powder coated and now there not...ive checked the microfiche but the holes where they fit in the frame are not shown...

I doubt that they are available as a spare part. All that they are is a rubber grommet with a brass threaded insert. I would look at replacing the missing items with wellnuts - easily available on Fleabay in whatever diameter you need to match the coil securing bolts. This will do exactly the same job.

Just remember with these that there are top-hat shaped spacers which sit between the coil and the frame and through which the mounting bolts pass. The 'rim' of the top-hat presses against the frame (or is it against a bracket? - but you get the point) making the earth connection through the coil. If the well nut rim prevents this top-hat touching the frame you will need to trim it with a knife to suit.

the "top hats" on the fiche are metal, its the rubber ones that are seated in the frame that i want,i dont think they earth the coils as there made of rubber..you can see in the picture on the bottom one(far right) the rubber "top hat" is seated in the frame...

Ignore what I said about trimming off the rubbers, I'm just mucking about with mine now after doing the valves. The mounting bolt goes straight through the rubbers and grounds on the frame behind from what I can see. Nothing to do with the top hats seating at all. So just bung in the well nuts and away you go.

Disregard anything I said about the coils earthing in any way through the mounting bolts - utter BS :smt010 Many thanks to my three-leafed instructor for putting me straight :smt002
