your bike is an L2 yes, what letter and colour CDi are you using, and what clocks do you have (kph, mph?)
UK ZXR400 L3 (1993) - Fully restored and on the roads, my green beast!
JPN ZXR250 A2 (1990) - Revs to 19,200rpm... 'nuff said :smt003

Hi banner
sorry for the long reply , its a 91 so thinks thats a l1 , it did have kph clocks on but where changed to mph , there was also a inline resitor to bypass the
rev limit , the cdi is a L ,blue sticker , im planning on running a digital dash so hopfully this will not cause any issues
thank for the reply

you need to get a blue M CDi as the blue L CDi are speed restricted (i thought they were UK ones, but the blue L is definitely restricted as i bought one and tried it out for myself)

the resistor is not a rev restrictor, that was your speed limit restrictor bypass on your previous loom/clock combination.

so you need to buy a M CDi (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki-ZXR- ... Sw2gxYsIRb), you dont need to bother with the resistor and/or pink wire anymore, and you can run any clocks you want.
