Battery Position

Post by Little Loris »

Does anyone know where the battery should be on the H model ZXR400? I've got an idea it should fit just above the rear shock in between the swing arm and tank fixing, but not sure how or where?

It's a race bike and I intend to weld a battery box together out of aluminium and fix it onto the subframe with some brackets but want to make sure it doesn't foul the swing arm or rear shock, so finding out where it would originally go would be a start!

Feel free to 'photoshop' it if you like.

Oh and if anyone knows of a picture they have or find with the battery in this position can they post it?

Cheers! :smt006

The ZXR400 manual is one of the worst I've seen!

Removing Tank Section -
1) Remove tank.

Installing Tank Section -
1) Reverse of above.

The manual doesn't really show where it attaches to so I think I'll just make it up as I go along. I notice that it's quite far away from the centre of the bike though.

Thanks for the info guys!
