hi guys

probably a simple yes no answer here but will uk clocks be a direct swap for import clocks?

im thinking along the lines of the speedo cable...is it calibrated to work with kmh clocks or will it be fine with uk clocks and display correct speed?

i wouldnt bother swapping but ill be using my bike for my test and clocks that read in kmh only arent acceptable for test use.

cheers

Answer is YES! :smt003

Its same speedo inside its just the backing thats different. One thing tho, do you have a derestrictor? If you unplug the kmh clock you might be restricted to 10K, might not be so important during your test but once you pass......

it has a uk spec cdi so i assume that means no rev limit even with clocks disconnected?

I only think about speed when im going in a straight line. My XJR400 always had me thinking as the speedo was digital and stuck in kmh, never did find out how to switch it to mph....

i know what kmh = mph etc...purely needed for test use which is abit of an annoyance

right, fitted my mph clocks but i think i have a problem. the new clocks didnt come with teh bit thet the speedo cable screws to so i had to use my old one after removing it from my original kmh clocks.

i guess this means teh speedo will still be wrong?

As i said on MSN mate, the bit that screws on with the green work gear drive on it is the same on all clocks :smt002
