dodg rev needle again

well i got a new battery , and it went better and now its playin up again, new battey only 2 weeks ago???

reg/rec probably not charging your battery then.

ok il replace it, where about on the bike is it?
there pretty expensive aswell at £70, anyone know where theyare cheaper, want a new 1 though.thx

no idea tbh, i dont know that much about em but from reasearch these are what usually cause problems like this.

need to take the seat and rear panels off. its just near the battery, looks like somthing with fins on one side and flat on the back about 3 ins square and a cable going into it. there should be a pic in the workshop manual. i got one from busters a while ago for about 55 quid but i dont know if they still sell them.

took it out today, doesnt look that bad, bit of ligh green stuff in the corner, doesnt seem to cause too much trouble at the moment, mite just leave it. Starts up ok when warm, hard when cold but hs allways bin like that.

i dont know if theres a way to check them but mine didnt look any different form a new one.

Rect/reg can get very hot and break down internally
Also corosion can occur where the AC voltage is connected from the alternator

£70 for a new one here
